SAFe Updates

With over 11,000 downloads to date, SAFe® Foundations has been one of our most popular PowerPoint presentations. It’s easy to see why as it’s often used to introduce people to the Framework. So we decided to give it a makeover, including a new title.

Introducing the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) for Lean Enterprises is framed on one of the biggest concerns in today’s business environment – digital disruption. It’s more clear than ever that every business is a software business now, which provides more opportunity but also opens greater exposure to new challenges and shifting customer demands. So agility isn’t an option, or a thing just for teams, it is a business imperative.

The presentation provides an up-to-date narrative about SAFe as the world’s leading framework for enterprise agility. It offers greater detail about Essential SAFe, including incorporating the ten critical success factors as a build in the graphic. The presentation also includes new content around applying Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Lean Systems Engineering (LSE).

New case studies have been added from well-known brands, including Intel, Northwestern Mutual, Capital One, and Fitbit. Images have been upgraded for visual interest and speaker notes have been updated and expanded to help you deliver an effective presentation.

We think you’ll continue to find this foundational presentation a very useful tool for educating colleagues, executives, and other stakeholders about the challenges of digital disruption and how SAFe provides a proven way to respond to them. Be sure to download your copy today.

Stay safe!

    Hi,
In Slide#17, it is said that Program Increments every 6 to 12 weeks. So will there be only 2 Iterations of 2 weeks each and 1 IP iteration of 2-week?

      Krishna,
Six-week PIs are not that common. One that I’m aware of ran two two-week sprints, and the final two-week sprint with just a dash of I&A and planning. Not a perfect academic cadence, but it worked for them. And some ARTs run one-week sprints in general.
